PILOT PLANT

Personnel

Our pilot plant is staffed by one chemical engineer and two technicians. In addition, development chemists are available for assistance on an as needed basis. When a project is transferred from the laboratory to the pilot plant, the responsible project manager actively participates in the transfer.

Current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP)

The pilot plant work is performed in compliance with our standard operational procedures, eg approved production documentation and Quality Assurance involvement including cleaning verification, training, auditing, release/approval decisions and investigations.

cGMP documentation is forwarded to the customer upon request.

Set-Up

  • Five product lines comprising of four glass lined 40 to
    280 L reactors and three 100 L glass reactors, operating at -25 to 150°C.
  • One SS 180 L reactor operating at temperatures down to -100°C.
  • One 20 L Büchi rotary evaporator.
  • Three Nutsche pressure filters.
  • Two centrifuges.
  • Three driers.
  • One preparative HPLC.

Utilities Available

Our standard temperature range in our glass-lines reactors is from –25 to 150°C.

All our reactors are equipped with distillation heads and can operate at 1 mbar, and they can further be equipped with a packed column.

Waste Control

All hazardous waste, whether in solid, liquid or gaseous form, is collected and sent for treatment at an authorized waste disposal site (Kommunekemi A/S).
