Niels Clauson-Kaas A/S was founded in 1956 by Niels Clauson-Kaas, a well-known organic chemist, to conduct basic research and development. The current management consists of CEO, Hans Jørgen Kjærsgaard, and executive VP, Jørgen Godt Olsen, who have both been with the company for many years.
Niels Clauson-Kaas A/S is an independent company owned by a foundation, which is controlled by all employees who have worked for the company for a minimum of three years.
The facility is located in Farum, 25 km from Copenhagen International Airport. It consists of a large organic synthesis laboratory, a newly expanded analytical laboratory, and a multi-purpose, modern pilot plant operated under cGMP.
Our main business activities consist of laboratory through pilot plant syntheses of new molecular entities or developing new or modified production processes, as well as analytical services including development and validation of analytical methods and stability studies according to ICH guidelines.
An important part of this activity consists of developing laboratory procedures which are technically feasible, safe and environmentally acceptable. Many of the products, which Niels Clauson-Kaas A/S develop, are advanced stage intermediates and active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) for pre-clinical or clinical trials produced in compliance with cGMPs.
